Tampa, one of our own could use some love ♥️
Many of you have probably heard about the devastating fire at Rene’s Mexican Kitchen. Thankfully, everyone is safe and no one was injured, but the business has suffered a tremendous loss.
Rene’s isn’t just a restaurant. It’s a locally owned business, a livelihood, a team of employees and another piece of the Tampa community that so many of us have spent years supporting.
Right now, one of Rene’s biggest priorities is making sure his employees are taken care of, including payroll, while he begins the difficult process of replacing inventory and figuring out what comes next. Items that weren’t destroyed by the fire also suffered water damage.
A GoFundMe has been created to help give Rene and his team the push they need to get back on their feet.
Southern may have closed our doors, but the community that supported us for so many years still means everything to us. We know firsthand how powerful Tampa can be when it rallies around a local business.
