Deeply saddened to hear of the passing of one of my childhood heroes. The first two Iron Maiden albums changed the entire landscape of heavy music forever. In 1981, I got to see Iron Maiden live in Taunton, UK when I was 17 years old. They blew my mind and Paul DiAnno had a massive impact on me. It later led to me quitting my career as an architect and choosing to become a full time heavy metal musician. To this day, 4 decades later, Iron Maiden and Killers are two albums that have stood the test of time and Paul DiAnno’s unique voice and attitude stand alone in a plethora of heavy music. Up the Irons!! Rest In Peace Paul: Too Punk For Metal, Too Metal For Punk!!
