Hi all! We wanted to give everyone a little update on what’s next for us at Alvis Backroad Bar & Grill. ❤️

After taking a much needed month off, we’ve been spending a lot of extra time with our sweet two year old boy and realizing he needs more of us during this season of life. Because of that, we’re doing a bit of a business restructure so we can better balance family and work right now.

For the time being, we will not be offering dine-in service. Instead, we’ll be focusing on:

• Catering
• Bulk orders
• Weekly meal prep
• Pickup & delivery
• Private parties

The good news is we’ve packed our catering and meal prep menu full of tons of delicious options to help feed your family, office, party, or weekly lunches without the stress of cooking. 🖤

You can pick up your weekly meal prep or catering orders, or we’ll even deliver within reason! Let us feed your family or your work crew. 😊

We also have a cookbook on the way along with lots of recipe and cooking videos coming soon, so this definitely isn’t the last you’ll see of us in the kitchen.

We truly appreciate all the support you guys have shown us over the last two years. Building this place and watching so many people support our dream has meant more to us than you know.

This isn’t goodbye at all — just a shift into a new season for our family and business.

We just found out we placed 3rd for Best Sushi in Southern Illinois in the Southern Illinoisan Readers’ Choice Awards…

And we’re honestly so grateful.

From running a small-town bar & grill in a town of less than 700 people… to being recognized as creating some of the top sushi in the region — that’s something we don’t take lightly.

Last year we placed in the top 3 for best restaurant, bar, burgers, soup, and wings… but this one hits different. Sushi isn’t something everyone can execute correctly, so this one means a lot to us.

Thank you to everyone who voted, supported, and continues to show up for us.
