It's great to be included with so many cool places. The DC metro area gained some outstanding shops pre & post pandemic as a lot of restaurant-industry folks were trying to figure out what to do next after burning out or wanting to do something on their own with a small budget. A little market seemed to us less daunting than a large restaurant.

Margins are thin for retail goods, and the closing of Foxtrot shows the challenge in that model as our costs continue to go up. We're all trying hard to curate great selections and spaces to add value for the consumer.

Attention from local press is greatly appreciated since we’re dependent on community support. Thank you for highlighting small businesses like ours!

Oh, yeah. It's Valentine's Day. I'm sure you've been planning for weeks, but in case you haven't, we have really good rosé Champagne, 'Love Red' wine & 'Love Letters' rosé from 2 of our favorite producers, lots of chocolate thingies, and all that, if you need to grab a last minute gift.

We also have a cozy wine bar for date nights that will be chiller than the restaurant you needed a reservation for to spend way more money for sh*tier wine. So, maybe ditch that plan & just drop in here.

Or, if you don't have a date, come by for a shot and see who else is flying solo. We like to play Cupid from behind the bar. 💘
