Love Burgundy? We do too! Tacoma Wine Merchants is hosting an incredible experience this Friday, March 6th, to meet five highly-acclaimed winemakers from Burgundy, France, as they pour a curated selection of their wines from the Cotes-de-Or. This will be a walk-around, casual-format tasting where the winemakers themselves will be chatting with participants while pouring their selected wines, including rare wines and Premier and Grand Crus from the Cote d’Or (including Domaine Ponsot’s 2022 Clos de la Roche!).

The winemakers in attendance will be:

So Lars was charged with selecting his Fancy Friday pour today…Knowing what a lover Rhône wine, it’s no surprise he chose this 100% Grenache, Châteauneuf du Pape from the inimitable Rotem & Mounir Saouma. We have made the decision to be open today, January 30th, during the national strike. While we stand in solidarity with our community, and call out for justice, as a small business we simply cannot afford to close today. Please use this day to quit spending with corporations that don’t share your values, but as a small business, we ask that you still, even creatively, find ways to support your favorite local businesses.

And in the spirit of supporting our neighbors, we have decided to pour this Kobayashi Cabernet Franc made by our local friend and Washington winemaker, Travis Allen. Only 2 bottles available, pouring until 8pm or when the bottles run out. Don’t miss this chance to try it!
