Similar rules apply as for in-person open mics:
1. Acoustic *music* in a family atmosphere. (Meaning I have to remember not to yell and swear at the computer just because I'm home.) Rappers tolerated, provided they honor the "FCC 7" rule and are accompanied by a *live human* doing something musical. Electric instruments --- keyboards, bass, guitar, etc --- also tolerated provided the volume is kept down. (At meat space open mics, Victory Music has a strict no-amps-on-stage, DI-only rule.)
2. 2-hour show, which gives twelve performers two songs each, unless extra time is available. (I *hate* one-song open mics!) We usually do three hours in Tacoma, but in virtual space the attention span is drastically shortened, so we'll play it by ear.
3. Sign-ups are not by time slot but rather by random draw; just as always.
4. Looks like the Emcee also needs to be Zoom Master because [s]he has to stay on top of who's muted and who's not. Shouldn't preclude playing along, though, once tech issues are handled.

Victory Music Open Mics Are (Virtually) Back!
Tuesday, Sept. 1st @ 19:00; sign-ups @ 18:45. (Details below.)

Kudos to Kristi 7 Steve Nebel for setting up a Zoom account for the purpose, which we prototyped a couple of times and hope we got the biggest bugs out.
