You see a tap stump, I remember a cell tower.

Everything in the bar has a story- this one’s a good one.

It’s the stump Sterling and I used to climb up to get one- maybe two- bars of cell service. Can you hear me now?

A thousand year old remnant of an ancient giant, and we scrambled up it to check our voicemail.

It’s from the land on the Olympic peninsula that all the wood in the bar comes from- the place we met. I was waiting tables, he was odd-jobbing it. Our paths crossed, here we are.

The stump still connects people. Drinks flow and people hang.

Some things are worth the climb.

You may not know this, but I’m from Minneapolis. I’m in MN now. This is personal. The video is long, but there’s a lot to be said. This is about every American’s constitutional rights.

Four families, neighbors, are in hiding. Real families. Here legally. Scared to work. Unable to pay rent. Afraid to exist in public because of their skin color.

Wednesdays at 6:30. Trivia with Nick.

Here’s the thing about trivia night at the bar- it’s not really about knowing the answers. It’s about being somewhere on a Wednesday. It’s a room full of people laughing (or groaning) about what they got wrong, and arguing about what they’re sure they got right.

Nick (former radio guy, professionally funny) keeps it light. You don’t need to be a trivia person. You just need to show up.
