NEW UPDATE - 10.19.2026
I apologize for the delay in this update. We are coming off a busy Fall Festival Weekend. Here is the latest update for the Downtown Project that can go out at the beginning of next week:

Upcoming Construction Schedule:

Beginning Monday, October 19, crews will continue installing the storm sewer mainline along the west side of Main St. Most work during this week will take place in the northern half of the block. Flaggers may be on site in the later half of the week while crews set a large manhole near the intersection of Erie St and Main St.

Traffic Impacts & Lane Closures:

Starting Monday, October 26, please expect the following traffic changes:

Eastbound Erie St Lane Closure: The eastbound lane on Erie St, between Main St and Summit St, will be closed for approximately 10 to 14 days while crews install new storm sewer infrastructure. Westbound traffic along Erie St will be maintained, and all driveway access will remain open.
Main St Lane Shift: Northbound traffic on Main St, between Maplewood Ave and Erie St, will be shifted over to the southbound lane. Main St will remain northbound-only during this phase. This shift will remain in place after Erie St reopens to allow crews to install storm sewer crossovers.

Please remember to drive with caution and stay alert for workers and equipment when traveling through the construction zone.
