Riesling is a white grape grown mostly in Germany and the French region of Alsace. Riesling is becoming more and more popular for its ability to age and its versatility. It can be made into a dry or a sweet wine, and everything in between. It’s an excellent wine to pair with many different foods, especially spicy foods. 🌶️

We also just got in a fantastic Riesling in spirit of the new year and maybe a great gift for your special someone for Valentine’s Day, if they don’t like the taste of a rosé or champagne! Happy new year from rays place to you all!

There are 11 bottle sizes, from the 187ml ‘split’ to the Nebuchadnezzar, which holds the equivalent of 20 standard bottles. A ‘Magnum’ bottle of wine is the equivalent of two standard bottles, and some claim that it is the optimal size for aging thanks to the reduced space for oxygen.

Fun Holiday drink idea 🍷1cup red wine , something Spanish like Tempranillo or Riojo is great . 1Cup coke , Mexican coke or coke made with sugar is best . Pour over ice and garnish with lemon wedge. These flavors all complement each other very well and you may be surprised with finding a new drink!

A good percentage of our wines at AWC are natural, organic, and/or biodynamic.
Organic, biodynamic and natural wines are produced by winemakers that avoid intervening in vineyard ecology, opting not to use herbicides and pesticides. And if you see a label marked ‘Demeter’, this means that the wine has been certified as biodynamic.
