Ima a little late but nevertheless. Let’s get into last night. I had events back to back but this one hit a little different.

It was truly an honor to host the doctoral celebration for NOT ONE SOROR but TWO phenomenal, powerful, and purpose-driven Sorors of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated 💪🏽💪🏽🔺🔺

To witness two extraordinary women walk in their calling, complete their doctoral journeys, and step boldly into what God has destined for their lives was nothing short of inspiring. The room was filled with excellence, resilience, and a reminder that when you walk in purpose, doors open that no one can shut.

What made this celebration even more meaningful was hearing their story. Because how often do you meet someone in graduate school, share that you’re thinking about starting a doctoral program and they start that very journey with you? And not only start it, but *finish it together.* That kind of alignment, accountability, and sisterhood is rare… and it was powerful to witness.

Thank you both for trusting me to be a part of such a monumental moment. You didn’t have to choose me but you did and I will never take that lightly. It meant more than you know.

Your achievements are not just degrees. They are legacy, sacrifice, and a testimony of what happens when faith meets determination.

Keep shining. Keep leading. Keep being exactly who you were created to be.

Who would’ve thought that graduating from the Virginia Victim Assistance Academy in 2014 would blossom into the sisterhood that Senethia and I have built over the years. She had been planning her husband’s surprise 50th birthday party for over a year, and when she asked me to bartend, I happily accepted.
Last night was pure joy—seeing the look on his face when he walked through the door was priceless. All of my sister’s hard work paid off, and her husband Kevin entered this new chapter of life in true debonair fashion.

I just want to say thank you for trusting me to be a part of such a special moment. You could have chosen anyone, and I don’t take that lightly. So without further ado… last night went a little something like this. 🎉🥂

There is so much to be said about at The Signet Center. It always warms my heart when people know they can count on you and because of that, they call on you often.

Shevea and I spoke a couple of weeks ago, and she asked me to bartend this event for the Chesapeake Southside Lions Club.

From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed, appreciated, and right at home. The energy was amazing, the people were incredible, and I truly had an absolute blast serving everyone.

So without further ado… we turned up on a Thursday, and it went a little something like this. 🍸✨

Caterer: Before I tag her, please understand that her jerk chicken salad had everyone in a chokehold. People were not just coming back for second and third they were coming back for TO GO plates. It was nothing like I had ever tasted before and that teriyaki salmon chefs kiss.

✨ Let’s talk about yesterday..It was so much more than a celebration… it was a moment of legacy, faith, and purpose in motion. ✨

I had the absolute honor of attending the anniversary celebration of Felicity Inc., under the incredible leadership of Dr. Sierra L. Savedge.

When you think of dedication and perseverance, her name should be in the definition. A woman who not only earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology, became a Licensed Professional Counselor, and built a thriving practice—but did so while surviving a brain tumor, navigating motherhood, and refusing to give up on her calling.

And today… she stood before her team and announced that the building they once leased… she now OWNS. 👏🏽🏡

But what moved me the most wasn’t just the accomplishment, it was her heart.
She told her staff they would always have a place to call home.

That’s leadership.
That’s impact.
That’s legacy.

Dr. Savedge, thank you for allowing me to witness your greatest moments. It is an honor to be called when life is heavy but to be called when life is good? That’s love. And you have consistently shown me both.

You are one of the most humble, faith-driven, and purpose-filled women I know. From founding JUS BE at a young age and pouring into your community, to becoming the powerhouse you are today, you have never stopped showing up.

Thank you for inspiring me to do better, to be better, and to keep building.

You may not always give yourself the credit you deserve…

But yesterday, I hope you felt just how powerful your journey truly is. 💕

Exactly 9 years and 2 days ago, I took a leap of faith and started a business I really didn’t know much about. I went to class, passed the test, and launched Bootz the Bartender LLC.

I can truly say this business has taken me places I never imagined for myself….From backyards, baby showers, weddings, to serving in $20 million homes and meeting celebrities I probably would have never crossed paths with otherwise.

And the funny part is, I still can’t tell you what half of the drinks I serve taste like because I’ve never had them. But if there’s one thing this journey has taught me, it’s that when you work hard enough, stay consistent, and believe in what you’re building, you can achieve more than you ever imagined.

So to my clients, my family, and everybody who has taken a chance on Bootz the Bartender, thank you. We’re heading into Year 10.

Get your dates in, because I already told y’all: I don’t know how much longer this ship is going to sail, but the name Bootz the Bartender LLC will be around for many years to come. Believe that ‼️
