Teachers shape futures long before anyone sees the results. This week, we had the honor of serving lunch to the incredible educators at West Wing school in Peoria during Teacher Appreciation Week, and it was a reminder of how much they pour into our community every single day. 🍎✨

At Turquoise Wine Bar Surprise, community matters deeply to us, and this is just the beginning. We’re excited to announce we’ll be hosting a monthly Teacher Appreciation Night to give educators a space to unwind, connect, and be celebrated the way they deserve.

To all teachers: thank you for your patience, passion, and impact. We see you. 🍷💙

Is great wine defined by how much is produced… or by the pride and passion behind it?

At Turquoise Wine Bar, we’re building something a little different.

Our wine list focuses on small-lot wines — wines made in limited quantities by passionate winemakers who care deeply about the craft.

These aren’t the mass-produced wines you see stacked by the thousands in grocery stores. Small-lot wines are typically produced by smaller wineries where the focus is on quality, character, and expressing the vineyard they come from.

That means more personality in the glass — wines that are more vibrant, more expressive, and often far more interesting to explore for wine enthusiasts like yourselves who enjoy discovering something new.

And one thing we firmly believe:

The price of a wine doesn’t determine how good it is — the way it’s grown, crafted, and produced does.

The founders of Turquoise Wine Bar have worked tirelessly to curate these selections, personally connecting with many small wineries, getting to know the owners, learning about their vineyards, and understanding the passion behind their winemaking process. To keep things exciting, some wines are rotated regularly, giving wine enthusiasts like yourselves the opportunity to discover new favorites throughout the year.

For example, some of the wines you’ll find on our list include selections like Vouvray from the Loire Valley, Arneis from Piedmont, Albariño from coastal Spain, Barbera d’Asti from Italy, Garnacha from Calatayud, and Soave Classico from Veneto.

Many of these wines are made in quantities so small that they never make it to big retail chains. They’re the kinds of wines you usually discover in a great wine bar or while traveling through wine country.

Our goal is to bring the kind of thoughtfully curated wine experience typically found in larger wine destinations right here to the Surprise community.

When we open this summer, we’re excited to bring a curated selection of unique wines from around the world right here to Surprise.

If you enjoy discovering wines that you don’t normally find at the grocery store, restaraunts or full service bars, you’re going to feel right at home here 😃
