Pure-X shaft had a decent hourglass shaped ferrule. A new one was machined to match the original.

Another ferrule replacement for the day. Threads were cleaned up, and a new ferrule was machined out if Juma to fit.

Tomorrow a fiber pad and economy medium tip will be installed. Shaft will be cleaned and sealed, with a smooth fresh coat of wax!

Had a chance to work on this no-name shaft that had a way undersized ferrule that accepts screw on tips. The owner wanted a quality repair with cost in mind.

The "ferrule" was machined off to reveal the original threads on the tenon. After chasing them and cleaning up the shoulder, a new ferrule was made from Juma and glued into place.

A SIB Soft was installed, with a quick clean, seal, and wax to follow.

Had a little extra time today so I was able to get another break shaft assembled.

Tomorrow I will finish the business side with a white diamond tip, and tap the joint for a radial pin.
