Front of House Job Description
At Boulder Canyon Golf Club, the customer experience is the most important aspect of our business. We are proud of the golf experience we provide, the quality of food we produce, the service we provide and the team environment we foster.
Our front of house operation includes bartenders and servers in the restaurant as well as on the golf course operating the Snack Shack or Beverage Cart. Additionally, front of house staff will be cross trained in golf operations to ensure our customers are given the absolute best service each and every time they step inside the Clubhouse.
We hire attitude not aptitude. Responsibilities
Welcomes and sits diners comfortably at the bar or in the dining section
Takes customersā food and drink orders using the LightSpeed restaurant application on the iPad
Sends orders to the kitchen from the LightSpeed restaurant application on the iPad and communicating any food allergy or special nutrition needs in the Notes sent to Kitchen
Serves customers with food and beverages in a positive and friendly manner and ensuring all orders are filled quickly and accurately and that food is of high quality
Collects and processes cash or credit card payments
Performs daily opening procedures, side work and closing procedures as instructed/documented
Memorizes the menu to
Assists customer with menu selection
Upsells items such as appetizers or desserts, if appropriate
Builds relationships with repeat customers by learning names and addressing customers by name
Delivers a memorable dining experience by being upbeat, attentive, and promptly resolving customer issues
Thoroughly cleans tables and chairs, the bar and bar stools after each customer leaves and generally keeps the dining and bar area neat and organized.
When requested, assists with golf operations such as making tee times, checking golfers in for tee times, selling Golf Shop merchandise, taking out or putting back golf carts in the golf sheds and cleaning carts.

Ability and willingness to learn point-of-sale system
Knowledge of foodservice regulations and proper food handling procedures
Capability to learn quickly and memorize menu details
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Willing to work flexible work schedules that include nights and weekends
Physically able to be on their feet for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds unassisted
