Hey guys after making the post the other day I apologize for not being available to answer questions.
I noticed in the silence people begin to create their own stories and answers. Again, I would like to apologize for that.
I will try to address a few of them now:
We are not connected to the owners of the new truck stop —but we wish them well.
We did not close the restaurant for Covid related issues. We thankfully are all healthy.
We did not close because we “couldn’t make it.” When we got the opportunity to lease the space we accepted it. It happened quickly and there are still details being worked out. (Gift certificates being one).
Gift certificates were sold in good faith before we even had considered moving. The answers to how to redeem them will be available by Friday after details are worked out.
Our prices, were set with the guidance of a mentor considering food costs, etc. We also ran features such as $5 breakfasts, tacos... etc. to offer price points ranging from $2.50- $28.00. We felt there was something for everybody.
Our staff were mostly locals from the Strafford and Marshfield areas. We attempted to staff from our own community. And they were AMAZING!!
We made it a point to give back in our community through what we know: the gift of food! We were honored to support our local police, the strafford schools, our local food bank, etc.
I have never looked up a restaurant without some complaints. We are not exempt from that. We will never be able to make everyone happy. But, I can tell you we care. It matters. You matter. And everyone that has made a connection with us becomes like family.
There is not some big mystery of “who” is coming... we just need to make sure we have all signatures and know they are ready...and then let them announce themselves.
We wish them great success!
Again, we apologize for any delay in responding.
Thank you.
Tammy
