Chumley's

Chumley's Cheers! A welcoming, diverse gay bar, in the heart of Happy Valley. Since 1984, the most chill bar in town. Are you a character? Hang out with us!

Welcoming and diverse, we're famous for fabulous cocktails and a fantastic selection of interesting bottled beer and local drafts. Just ask... our bartenders specialize in mixing a drink to please every palate. We have a complete food menu, including food from our sister companies, the Allen Street Grill and the Corner Room. Live local music twice a week, special events, and an amazing mix of characters keep things just weird enough.

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Dempsey Young to our board of directors. (Dempsey re-joins the board after getting his practice off the ground)

Dr. Dempsey Young (He/Him), is a local psychologist serving LGBT+ clients. He happily re-joins the Centre LGBT+ board and shares he is driven by a deep passion for social justice and the LGBTQIA+ community. He offers extensive professional experience in mental health, along with significant volunteer and board service history, much of which is directly relevant to LGBTQIA+ advocacy and community building. He believes his background and dedication will enable him to make a meaningful contribution to the organization's vital mission.

We are proud to have Dempsey back on board where his expertise and passion will help our organization continue to grow in service to the community we love!

This Pride Month, we reflect on the creative legacy of Fallingwater and the people who helped shape its story, especially Edgar Kaufmann jr.

As the only child of Edgar and Liliane Kaufmann and the person who in 1963 entrusted Fallingwater to the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy, Edgar Kaufmann jr. played the primary role in preserving one of America’s most iconic works of architecture. A scholar, curator and modernist thinker, he was deeply engaged in the worlds of art, design and architecture throughout his life.

Edgar Kaufmann jr. is recognized as a q***r figure whose contributions helped shape appreciation for 20th-century arts and design. He spent much of his life with designer Paul Mayén, his longtime partner, whose work at Fallingwater included the design of the Visitor Center.

Fallingwater today honors that spirit by welcoming diverse perspectives through our education programs, residencies and creative initiatives.

Happy Pride from all of us at Fallingwater. 🌈
