Hello all!
As many people know im not a big fan of social media and don't access it often so thanks for listening. Old I guess lol.
First off I would like to thank all of our customers over a past 23 years.
We would also like to thank all our front line worker, police, fire and military for you service, dedication and support.
That being said we love Shakey Jakes Cafe. And all our employees.
It has been a lot of fun as well as very trying.
We must follow many laws and rule set forth by the government, state and town.
Our biggest struggle is deterring under age drinking. In today's world of technology anyone can get a fake id on line and quick everything from military, veterans car, drivers license, social security or even a fake handy cap parking permit.
The laws require any person trying to purchase or consume alcohol must show proof of legal id.
If we are cought selling to minors we receive costly fines and license suspensions. Therefore we have policies in place to meet and deter what the state and local government require of us.
So our policy of id is to get two forms of valid ids.
Two means 2!!
We do not discriminate against military ids or any other state or government id period.
My wife and I come from military families including the Army, Navy and Marines.
If you walk in the bar you will see pictures of our relatives in uniform and we are very proud of them for there service to our great country to keep us free.
If you only have 1 I'd and nothing else on you person
Not even a credit card, social security card or even a library card you won't be served .
Please don't accuse us of not supporting our military, government, state or town, and don't threaten us with bodily harm and speak to us inappropriatly.
Our employees are just doing there jobs,
Our employees, Nancy and I don't make the laws we just pay the fines.
