Stan’s on Macklind is a fun and friendly neighborhood bar in south St. Louis. Pool tables, TVs, cheap drinks, pizza, and Karaoke!

We have karaoke on Friday and Saturday nights 9-1. Mon-Fri 8am-1:30am
Sat & Sun 10am-1:30am

I didn’t get to give my speech so I wanted to share on here…

I just want to thank every single person who came out today.

When we lost Stan’s to the fire, it was devastating. For so many of us, Stan’s is so much more than just a bar. It’s a second home. It’s where friendships have been made, memories have been shared, and somewhere along the way, people became family.

And if there’s one thing this whole experience has shown us, it’s just how incredible that family really is.
The amount of love and support we’ve received from this community has been absolutely overwhelming.

From our sponsors, the volunteers, everyone who donated, and every single person who came out to play today — thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

I also want to give a very special thank you to Kevin Vilmer!!

The amount of time, hard work, and heart you put into organizing this tournament has been incredible. You took something that started out as a heartbreaking situation and turned it into a such a fun day that brought so many great people together. Epic!

Kevin, we truly cannot thank you enough for everything you’ve done for our Stan’s family. All the love to you, Stu, Beans, and Stan!!

We can’t wait for the day we get to open those doors again, welcome everyone back, and return even a little bit of the love you’ve shown us.

So, from our entire Stan’s family, thank you for loving this place as much as we do, for believing in us, and for helping us get back on our feet.

To those signed up for the golf tournament....Reminder, clubhouse is card only but please bring cash for contests and raffle.
Please arrive at 9am to sign-in and to buy in on optional Skins pot ($20/team) and Mulligans ($20/per, Max of 2 per team.
Tee time is 10am.
If you can't stay after for Imo's, results and awards please be sure to write your name and tel # on 50/50 tickets if you buy any.

This Saturday Oct 17th 9AM check-in, 10AM tee time.
Skins available $20/team. Mulligans(max of 2 per team) $20/mulligan.
50/50 raffle: $1/ticket, 25 for $20.

Course asks we NOT bring our own b**r! Each golfer will get 5 free drink tickets. (You may buy more tickets or b**r from clubhouse $2/each) Course is CARD ONLY NO CASH.

Today we lost our old man Ed. ❤️

One of the hardest parts about bartending for so many years is the relationships you build with people of all ages and personalities. They come in as customers, then regulars, and somewhere along the way, they become family. You get attached. You fall in love with these people. And when you lose one of them, it hurts like hell.

Ed was one of those people.

I’m so thankful for all the time I got to spend sitting with him, listening to his stories. I loved hearing about his life growing up, his time in the military—a chapter of his life he was so proud of—raising his family, and all the memories he collected over 80 years. He lived a beautiful life, and he had some wonderful stories to tell. I feel lucky that he trusted me enough to share so many of them with me.

One of my favorite memories will always be surprising him for his 80th birthday and seeing those happy tears. I’m so grateful we got to show him, while he was still here, just how loved he was. He knew. And that means so much today.

My heart goes out to his family, his friends, and everyone at Stan’s who loved him. We didn’t just lose a regular today. We lost a member of our Stan’s family and a truly great man.

I’m thankful I got to know you, Ed. I’m thankful I got to love you. And I’m thankful for every story, every conversation, and every moment you spent sitting on that barstool with us.

Rest easy, old man. You were so very loved. ❤️

Coming along! 💪❤️

It may be hard to tell from the outside, but we’re making progress! One wall is down, the ceiling is out, and we’ve gotten a whole lot of cleaning done. Two days down with the girls! The boys have been working long and hard since the fire.

Thank you so much to everyone who has reached out and offered to help. We’re good on extra hands for the moment—with it still being a hazard site, we just can’t have too many people in there.

Let us keep putting in the work, and we’ll keep you all updated along the way! ❤️ Stan’s Strong
