The Pieces staff or “Game Navigators” are at your service to help you pick out and set up your games, or, if you prefer, you may select and play without assistance. While you’re playing, the Navigators are there to serve you beer, wine, coffee, and food to your heart's content. Pieces is not just for dedicated gamers. It’s a perfect place for date night, girls night, families, and casual gamers. Trust us, we’ve got a game for everyone! For nostalgia's sake, do you want to play a quick game of “Guess Who?” or perhaps an intense game of Risk? How about picking a newer, easy-to-learn game, like Carcassonne or Castle Panic? Two years ago today, we bought an old historic building (saving it from the clutches of a commercial developer) and took the BIG of step of moving Pieces to a larger location. It’s been the most challenging, but wonderful journey! Thank you to all of you who have filled our space with so much joy.

The Board Game Comedy Show starts with an hour of comedy all about the world of board games, and ends with everyone playing games together.

Grant Lyon Grant’s Game Recs - a comedian from Comedy Central, Dry Bar, SyFy, Comics Unleashed, Just For Laughs, and more - is also a huge board game lover. He’s amassed over 350,000 followers across his Grant’s Game Recs platforms where he makes daily videos about fun games. His Dry Bar Comedy Special “Silly Mustache Man” released in 2025 to great reviews, and his debut album “Scheduled Fun Time” hit #1 on the comedy charts.

For the past two years, Grant has been taking The Board Game Comedy Show to board game conventions all over the country, but this is the first time the show is touring board game venues and cafes.
