Can any electrician or handyman friend come help us out today with a dumb electrical problem we are having? We literally just need a light switch replaced. Its a dimmer switch that doesn't work. We put a new one in and it lasted one day, then quit again. It doesn't even have to dim really. We need it fixed ASAP, as pinball league is tonight! Will pay money and beers!

Did you know that The Silver Ballroom was the first Pinball bar in America? Sure, there were some bars that had machines, and a few Barcades with some pins mixed in with the video games, but none that were strictly pinball only. Named by Shelly Ross Dachroeden, who awoke me in the middle of the night, and said."Hey! The Silver Ballroom". I was blown away. I was gonna do some dumb thing like "Flipperz!" And maybe "borrow" the band Flipper's fish logo somehow... I can't say that it was the first pinball bar in the world, because it's a big place, but we never found one. Just sayin'. St Louis should be proud, and it's a great fun fact to tell visitors before you bring them in. We have revisited our original roots by having the Australian Meat Pies available every day, Circle Jerky (tm) Spicy Beef Jerky every day, and our famous Punk Rock jukebox only music, and it's free! See you soon!

The Silver Ballroom turns sixteen and we’re celebrating all day on Saturday, April 4th with free pinball, super deals, and fun giveaways! Here’s the rundown:

Bar: Noon to 1:30 AM
All Ages: Noon to 6:30 PM
Punk Rock Yard Sale*: 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM

*People in our backyard selling stuff they made, stuff they found, and stuff they stole. Jewelry, Playboys, those leather masks with the zippers, art, “art,” field recordings of someone getting kicked out of the Moolah in 2001 for yelling about 9/11, clothing, books about drugs, and all sorts of random junk from basements and closets.

We really wanted to have a photo booth for the party on Saturday, but all companies I called didn't do them anymore. Just the ones where they set up a iPhone with props and stuff. Anyone know of a place that rents an actual booth?
