Okay, well, we were true to the Halloween weekend by being totally dead the whole time. It's understandable when Halloween is on a Saturday, ya know? But now that that is all done, and it's a somewhat cold, overcast Sunday, it's time to get a steak at O'Connell's!

Our Sunday special is our marinated sirloin steak. We take an inexpensive piece of meat, marinate it for 24 hours to loosen it up, charbroil it, pour a reduction over it and serve it with garlic mashed potatoes and grilled green onions for less than $20 on a paper plate. Yeah, baby! It's damn good, and even the pickiest steak eater will have to recognize that it's a very good steak for the money. Come 'n get it!

Happy Halloween! We are in the spirit, and hope that you are too! We aren't doing anything particularly special for Halloween, but we do encourage all to wear costumes to the pub. There is one costume, and one costume only that will get you a free pint. It involves wearing boxer shorts with hearts on them and no pants over them. If you know, you know. Come dressed as that character, and ya get a free b**r.

Our normal special for Saturday is our fabulous BBQ pork steak sammy! It's delicious and 100% STL! It's overcast and chilly out, so come get some chili!

Ugh! Spire is replacing a line under Shaw North and hit a water line. WE HAVE NO WATER. That means that we are effectively closed until Spire fixes this. Yes, it’s a hot mess.

UPDATE: WATER IS BACK ON AFTER THE PLUMBER REPAIRED THE PIPE THAT THEY BROKE.

There was a water pipe 55" below the surface and 70" below the surface. They got to the 55" pipe and figured that was the only one and busted thru the 70" pipe. So, they had to fix it, and they did.

Now we gotta ask them for money. That shouldn't be hard, right?🤬

We are going to start working with The Cake Lady! Her Gooey Butter Cookies should be in today or tomorrow. We are going to have a strawberry infused cheesecake as well. There are all kinds of items that they do with brownies, cakes, cheesecakes and gooey butter cakes and cookies. We are starting slow but will likely be doing some fun stuff. How about double chocolate raspberry jalapeno gooey butter cake?! Wow!

This weather is crazy! One day it's freezing, the next day it's Arizona. I don't want these posts to turn into the weather channel, so let's get back to food.

On Wednesdays we have our best-in-town lamb chops. Today we are talking to a dessert specialist about some very exciting new ideas. For today, the lemon meringue is a great pairing with the lamb chops. We have some really high-end wh***ey, bourbon and scotch, as well.

Lamb chops, lemon meringue pie and a Blanton's. Life is good!
