This Porch Pils is for one of our very best friends that we’ve recently had to say goodbye to, our big Chunk 🪽🌈
When I met Dave back in 2013, I was introduced to his two dogs Chunky and Rufio. Long story short, I fell in love with them before I fell in love with Dave (lol). I had never had a dog before, and I had no idea that those two boys were going to be the best companions for the next 13 years of my life. They’ve literally done everything with us (dog owners get it). In fact, many of you have probably seen their faces in the windows while we’re working up here during the day before we open. One of their favorite activities was coming up and “cleaning” the floors after a long weekend - all the good food always ends up under the booth tables. The brewery has always been their second home, much like it has become many of your dog’s second homes.
Our German Pilsner, Porch Pils, has been without fail our idea of the b**r that you enjoy on a lazy afternoon in the comfort of your own space. For us, that space will always be sitting on our back porch with our dogs (and now cats). Any time you bring a 4 pack of this b**r home, you bring a little piece of our family with you. Our Chunky’s memory will live on through our Porch Pils label as a reminder of all of the good boys & girls who make our lives so much richer because they are a part of it.
Chunk, you were the best dog, and we look forward to sitting on the porch with you again one day! 🍻
