I want to start by saying thank you for 8 amazing years!
After a lot of thought, I’ve made the very difficult decision to sell Bricks & Ivy. While I truly love this restaurant and everyone who has been a part of it, it’s time for me to step away and focus on my health. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to work alongside such an amazing staff to help make Bricks what it is today. It’s been a lot of hard work, but seeing the smiles on our customers’ faces has made it all worthwhile.
Everything has happened pretty quickly, and I want to thank the new owners, Jim and Jerry, for all of their efforts throughout this process. My last day will be Saturday, May 23rd, and Bricks will reopen under their ownership on Wednesday, May 27th. The good news is that Bricks & Ivy will still be Bricks & Ivy — same employees, same menu, and same atmosphere you’ve come to love! I also won’t be disappearing completely; I’ll be helping during the transition for a little while.
I would love the chance to see you over the next few days so I can personally thank you for all of your support in helping make Bricks & Ivy what it is today.
Finally, thank you to all of the customers and staff who have walked through the doors during the last 8 years. You all mean so much to me. Oh, one more thing - Go Cubs Go and Bear Down!!!
