Time flies when you are having fun! We were crazy busy finishing up the living room and the dock just in time for the 2021 rental season that we never posted the final products.

Thanks to all of our guests for making it a great year! We look forward to having you back again in 2022!

Continuing to make progress on the house and dock.

In the living room, built in cabinets were installed that will have shelving added to the top. New vinyl plank floors were also laid as we move on to the steps and install freshly painted trim.

For the dock progress, the girders are being installed, an old portion of the dock was removed to restructure the supports to double the width and so the deck boards can run the same direction and lastly, joists began going up on the fingers of the dock.

Update #3: Fireplace is done! And that hand hewn beam worked out perfect! Next up, paint, built in cabinets/book case, then flooring and trim.

The dock is slowly progressing. Double lvl headers are in. We are just waiting on the next shipment of lumber to be delivered. Next step is to square up the structure, lock in the front and rear header and begin on the joist hangers to make sure they are in before the water starts to come up.

Another quick update! Good progress on the fireplace with stone going up! We also found a 130+ year old hand hewn oak beam from a friends fallen barn that will be repurposed into the perfect mantle!

Also, weather (and wind) are finally cooperating for the dock crew to get things started. First step is to straighten up the posts and add temporary cross members to hold the poles in place. Those crossmembers also double as the base of scaffolding to work on the roof. Once everything is squared up, placement of the LVL headers will commence followed by trusses, sheathing and metal roof.

We open back up for rentals on April 1. Memorial Day Weekend is still open (3 day minimum). Be sure to lock in your spring fishing trip or summer vacation before availability is gone.
