The Pergola private event space sits steps from the winery entrance and offers a partially covered setting for celebrations, family gatherings, and group outings.

The rental includes six picnic tables with umbrellas, a central fire pit, room for lawn and table games, and a playground within view, making it an easy fit for guests of all ages.

A toast to independence every hour sounds like our kind of history lesson.

We're honored to join Washington Heritage Museums on July 3 at the historic Rising Sun Tavern as Fredericksburg begins celebrating America's 250th birthday.

We're just about a month away from America's 250th birthday! Be sure to join Washington Heritage Museums at one or more of these exciting events. Kick off the festivities on July 3rd with a family-friendly day at the historic Rising Sun Tavern with beer and wine tastings, tavern tours and a toast to independence every hour.

On July 4th, relive the spirit of 1776 with a public reading of the Declaration of Independence on the steps of the Hugh Mercer Apothecary Shop. Then, make sure to mark your calendars for a spectacular celebration at Ferry Farm, George Washington's boyhood home. This year, we're thrilled to be part of the festivities with American Revolution spy activities. We can't wait to celebrate with you!

We’re grateful for the interest in using the farm as a photo location, and with requests increasing, we want to clarify our photo shoot policy.

All professional or organized photograpy sessions on the farm require advance approval, scheduling, and payment. Sessions must be scheduled and paid for prior to the day of the shoot.

This policy applies to all organized shoots, including family, engagement, branding, wedding, mini, and commercial sessions.

The session fee is $75 and may be arranged by calling 540-847-0199.

Thank you for helping us manage the scheduling, and continue caring for the farm as a shoot location.

NOW ON TAP: A familiar standard, raised once more.

First brewed in the early days of our brewery, Von Steuben Kölsch returns as part of our celebration of 250 years of the United States.

This one's a crisp, easy drinker brewed in rustic style. Light-bodied and smooth, it opens with soft grain notes and delicate floral hop character. Finished with subtle ale fruitiness. A bright and balanced limited release honoring both our own beginnings, and the larger story of independence and resolve.

Von Steuben Kölsch is packaged in its original throwback can design as part of our commemorative partnership with VA250 - American Revolution 250 Commission. Let’s explore this chapter of Virginia’s history together.

Today (Saturday), the farm will be hosting a ticketed event beginning at 3:00 p.m.

Guests who are already here before 3:00 are welcome to stay and enjoy their visit. After 3:00, guests arriving will be asked to purchase or show a ticket at the gate for the event.

There is a chance we may reopen to regular guests later in the evening, but to avoid anyone making the drive out unnecessarily, please plan as though the farm may be unavailable to the general public after 3:00 p.m.

We know this is unusual. We’ll be back to normal hours after tomorrow.
