Over the weekend of May 15-17 over 230 karts took to the track north of the border for the first ever Cup Karts (CKNA) Canadian Nationals. The 1.24 mile 𝑇𝐴𝐺 𝐾𝑎𝑟𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝐴𝑐𝑎𝑑𝑒𝑚𝑦 circuit located in Mont-Tremblant set the stage for the historic event. 14 Coyote entries with drivers from both the United States and Canada took on some of the best karters in North America across 6 different classes.
Maryland native 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐞 was the standout all weekend in the Masters division. Qualifying on pole to start the weekend setting the fastest time of the Masters/Heavy Combined group. Price would go on to seal the deal on Sunday coming home with the win by over 5 seconds in dominating fashion cementing his name as the Inaugural Masters division Canadian nationals champion.
𝐄𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐁𝐨𝐬 also competed in the Masters division getting faster with every session on track coming home with a solid 15th place finish in the final on Sunday.
The Heavy class running on track with the masters saw 3 coyote entries. 𝐍𝐨𝐚𝐡 𝐕𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐧 led the charge running at the head of the pack all weekend long coming home with an extraordinary P2 finish come finals time.
𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐰 𝐒𝐞𝐠𝐠𝐢𝐞 and 𝐊𝐲𝐥𝐞 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐧 also had impressive weekend both showing top 10 speed throughout with Seggie just missing the podium scoring a 6th place finish on Sunday, while Johnson stayed consistent and brought home a P10 result.
Legends saw the pair of 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐆𝐨𝐞𝐛𝐞𝐥 and 𝐓𝐢𝐦 𝐒𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐥 running very competitive throughout the weekend. Both showed speed all weekend with Goebel capping off the deal with a 3rd place finish in the final while Stiefel brought home a solid 7th place finish.
𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐞𝐚𝐮 was the sole coyote driver in a stacked 49 kart Junior field despite this Fregeau made sure to leave his mark running upfront all weekend long. Fregeau was able to translate this speed to a podium result coming home an outstanding P3 in the final on Sunday.
Senior Light was by far the largest class of the weekend with a huge 78 kart field. 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐖𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 was one of 3 coyote entries showing front running speed throughout the event. Wakefield translated his 3rd qualifying spot to an outstanding weekend overcoming a challenging start to a 5th place finish. Wakefield added to his podium total in the Medium class overcoming a penalty to come home with a 4th place finish.
𝐍𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐬 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐨 was another driver pulling double duty showing race winning speed in both classes. After qualifying 2nd in the Light class showing he had the speed to contend, Nicholas suffered unfortunate engine issues which ended his quest in light coming home P48. This result also hampered his chances in Medium as he would have to start from the back. Capilongo put on a show with a tremendous comeback drive in the final coming home a solid 17th place earning himself the hard charger award.
𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥 𝐃𝐚𝐲 was the final Coyote entrant of the weekend competing in the ultra competitive Senior Light division. With limited experience on the track and chassis she did an extraordinary job coming home with a solid P20 out of 78 and is eager for more opportunities on a coyote chassis.

In the final things didn't go Stoner’s way but he still managed a very solid 6th place run. Richard was able to capitalize in the final moving up a couple spots to secure the final podium position in 3rd. 𝐆𝐢𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐛𝐲 also had good weekend coming home in the top 10 in the final scoring a great 8th place result.
In the Masters division Coyotes were able to grab two podiums both with 𝐑𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐑𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (RRD) drivers. Firstly the teams namesake 𝐀𝐉 𝐑𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐤 showed speed all weekend long and was able to come home in the runner up position continuing on with his outstanding season. Crossing the line right behind Roderick was his teammate 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐝𝐲 grabbing himself a podium coming home with an extraordinary 3rd place. The final RRD driver 𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝐄𝐥𝐰𝐨𝐨𝐝 was able to score a top 10 in the final coming home P8.

Some unfortunate incidents in the final derailed his chance to win and the North Carolina racer was relegated to a P14 result.
Three other Coyote drivers were able to pick up the pieces in the Senior final as PPK’s 𝐀𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐈𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨 showed great speed grabbing the final podium spot with an outstanding P3.
