Baby/ Toddler/ Grown Up quilt complete. This quilt goes to a 9 month old. The giver prays he uses it into his adult years. This quilt after washing measures 56”x 56.” The printed blue has a dark blue background with light blue leaves. The backing is a blue flannel. The quilt is hand quilted except for the border. I decided to meander with my machine to give it somewhat of a Victorian vibe. I’m really happy with this one.

Hand and machine quilting complete. I am now adding the binding! I can’t wait to wash and dry it into a perfectly snuggable quilt!!

Up For Auction on September 19, 2026 in Everly at the community park. This 54” x 43” quilt was intended to be a picnic quilt. Also with the quilt is the picnic basket and serviceware for two. Introducing my apprentice Mya. Mya is taking lessons on handquilting. She is a fast learner and is so excited about hand and machine quilting. Handquilting is becoming a lost art. I was so excited to be able to teach and pass this skill to her. Check out her even stitches.

Revisiting the postage stamp quilt. One of my absolute favorites!

It’s finally complete after 4.5 months of hand quilting 8,800 postage stamp sized quilt blocks. Roughly nine to ten stitches per block which comes to close to 80,000 stitches by hand within this treasure. That’s not including the stitches by hand it took whoever pieced the top together. This quilt top was found in an old abandoned house in one of the closets and sent to me to finish. What a project it was! It washed up beautifully…even all of the fabrics from the Great Depression. I will be posting more photos of this beauty when the sun comes out in the next few days. Until then… I’m going to relax, heal my fingers, and enjoy this beauty until it goes back to it’s owners.

Time to sandwich and pin the quilt. After that I will get the handquilting hoop in place and start stitching by hand. My goal is to finish by Labor Day!

HELP! I would appreciate your advice. I’m making a quilt for a baby who is about 8 months old. I was asked to make a quilt that can be used no matter how old he is. I’m using the dark blue fabric with the lighter blue leaves and the white. Do you think I should incorporate the light blue batik fabric as well?
