WOW.
Thank you.
Our 20th Anniversary celebration absolutely exceeded anything I could have imagined. This was my first time throwing a party of this size, and seeing so many people come out to celebrate with us was truly overwhelming in the best possible way.
Most importantly, thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us. Thank you for your patience, kindness, and support throughout the evening, especially through any hiccups or wait times that came with a turnout larger than we ever anticipated. In hindsight, what an incredible blessing it is to say that so many people came to celebrate this milestone with us. Seeing our restaurant filled with friends, family, regulars, race fans, and members of our community was something we will never forget.
When I started planning this event, one thing was important to me: I wanted to utilize and support the people who have supported
Thank you to Tom Beaudry and Slap Daddy for not only putting on an incredible show, but for helping with so much behind the scenes. What I thought would be a simple setup quickly turned into logistics I never even considered, and your help made all the difference. A special thank you to Steve Jones for helping navigate those logistics, coordinating the stage, transportation, setup, and making sure we were talking to the right people to get everything where it needed to be. Your help was invaluable. The band kept the energy up all night, and everyone was singing along and rocking out together. It was one of those moments that reminded us just how special this community really is.
Thank you to Lance Hamblen for coming through with anniversary shirts on short notice. They turned out fantastic and received compliments all night long.
Thank you to the Boom Boom Man for what was honestly one of the best fireworks shows I've seen in years. It was truly the cherry on top of an unforgettable evening.
And, to our current team and to everyone who has worked at Dawson's over the last twenty years: thank you. Restaurants don't make it twenty years because of buildings or menus. They make it because of the people who show up every day, work hard, take care of customers, and treat the place like it's their own.
I have been incredibly fortunate to grow up here, working alongside my family and some of the best staff anyone could ask for. Over the years, coworkers have become family, customers have become family, and the friendships and connections that have been built here have been the greatest part of all of it.
Twenty years ago, my family took a leap of faith and opened the doors to a restaurant that would become the place where I grew up. I was only 8 years old at the time, and I don't think any of us could have imagined what this little restaurant would grow to become.
So finally, thank you to my family for taking that leap of faith twenty years ago. I'm not sure where I would be without it, but I know I wouldn't have the memories, friendships, and connections that have shaped so much of my life. Thank you for giving me a place to grow up, a place to learn, and a place to call home.
To ALL, thank you for celebrating 20 years with us.
Here's to 20 years on Main, 20 laps around the sun, and many more memories still to come. ❤️
