We are honored to announce that the Spartanburg Citadel Club has been named the Citadel Alumni Large Club of the Year for 2025. In addition, we have also earned Gold Stars for the 6th year in a row! This week is our annual TOTAL MINISTRIES (www.totalministries.org) food drive!

Each year, we make it easy for you to stop by Claude's office at 302 South Pine Street from Dec 3-5 and drop off much-needed food supplies for TOTAL MINISTRIES. Below is a list of items needed this year:

Peanut butter, green beans, assorted veggies, dried beans, rice, pasta, Mac n’ Cheese, and canned fruits.

We’ve averaged around 1,000 lbs each year, and I know you all will “answer the call” and exceed our previous efforts! A tent will be set up behind the building for easy drive-in, drop-off, and drive-off convenience. Easy peasy!

We were honored last month to have The Citadel's Athletic Director Art Chase and a delegation from the Brigadier Foundation stop in Spartanburg and speak with us last month before the Bulldogs played at Gardner Webb. It was fascinating to hear about the NIL landscape in college football!

Good luck to The Citadel's Class of 2029 as today is matriculation day for them! We got together with some our local Spartanburg future cadets to wish them well and provide some advice earlier this summer, however I'm not sure if there is anything that can prepare you for today.

As the weather is heating up in the Upstate of South Carolina, we reflect back on a great year for the club. We achieved Gold Stars from the Alumni Association for the 5th year in a row - a special thanks to our club leadership, Claude Saleeby (71) and Rick Higgins (86) as well as many other local alumni.

This past year we enjoyed monthly meetings and special events - from author John Warley (67), to the tailgating at The Citadel vs Wofford football game, the admissions office coming up to meet with prospective k***s, and the Brigadier's Foundations Jonathan Walker keeping us up-to-date at our annual Muster.
