It is with a heavy heart that we announce that Progress Brewing will be closing soon.
For the last 13 years it has been an absolute pleasure making beer and sharing it with the wonderful people of the San Gabriel Valley. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts it is no longer financially viable to keep the brewery operating. While we don’t have a specific date by which we will have to close our doors, it will likely be within the next month.
I would like to thank the wonderful other breweries of the Los Angeles County Brewers Guild, many of which gave us incredible guidance over the years.
I’d like to thank the city of South El Monte whose government and citizens welcomed us with open arms and allowed us to do something special in a little industrial corner of the city.
I’d like to thank my family and friends who have supported me through thick and thin, from helping us open, to managing this difficult transition.
I’d like to thank every single one of you, my customers, it was a joy, meeting you, serving you, sharing beer, 3 Dodger World Series wins, heartache and joy, making every day I worked worthwhile.
And lastly, I would like to thank my incredible staff, my bartenders and brewers, without whom none of this would have been possible. If any of you have had the pleasure of meeting them you will understand when I say they are without question the most wonderful people I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet, manage, work with, and be friends with.
I hope you can all stop by for one last beer, I would love to cheers you one last time
