Hard to believe today is the last day. I (Joe) want to personally thank you all for 15 years of support, memories and positive vibes. Staff, industry partners, and of course you the customer who made this all possible. We’ll be open today at 3 till about midnightish. ***We will be open a day or two next week to move remaining inventory. So stay tuned for an announcement early next week.

Well as the saying goes all good things come to an end. Yes folks sadly The StandBy will be closing after 15 years of service. No we’re not going out of business in fact we’ve been fortunate enough to rebound from the pandemic. I (Joe) have been trying to negotiate a lease with property owners but to no avail. The property owners are unwilling to make necessary repairs to the almost 100 year old building and it’s becoming impossible to operate safely. I’ve been in a holding pattern in making essential improvements to operate successfully and safely another 5 years due to major repair the building needs. The writing on the wall became clear and left me no choice but to close. Not an easy decision especially with the tight knit community we have here. That is the most rewarding part for me and what The StandBy is all about. For that I am truly grateful and humbled. So stop by, take it all in, grab a beverage, share a story, and take care of your hard working bartenders. I am truly grateful for all of your love and support over the past 15 years. Stay tuned for big closing party on Sunday 6/30, with details to follow soon. Thank you, Joe.
