Acoustic Patio - The Why & The What
I launched Acoustic Patio a couple years ago when a local coffeehouse asked me to be their songwriter in residence. Unfortunately, they ran into problems with the city - permits and such. I tabled the idea for the past year and half.
During that time, the owner of Charlie’s Coffee House in South Pasadena had been asking me to put a music evening together for her location. Mostly due to my schedule (excuse), I neglected putting anything together.
I knew I didn’t want to do an open mic. Not in the traditional sense. God love ‘em but these days I have zero interest in sitting around for a few hours to play 1 or 2 songs. And, truth is, most of the best performers I know are disinterested in the same.
I was in Charlie’s the other day and was, once again, approached to put something together. I went through a short analysis of what I would like to do and re-launching Acoustic Patio was the answer.
