✨🌱SPRING THINGS🌱✨
Super excited to be back open for our FIFTEENTH season!
Vermont has really come alive these past couple of weeks with so much in bloom, so much GREEN and seemingly everything coming back to life right before our eyes. With the longer days we’ve been spending so much time outside—gardening, foraging, digging in the dirt and preparing for the season ahead. We are thrilled to be reopening this coming Thursday, May 21. Our hours will remain the same all season: Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from 5-830. Resy is open and will accept your bookings up to 30 days in advance. We can’t wait to welcome you back inside.

It’s been a while since we brought anyone new on board, but we are gearing up for an exciting summer around here and thrilled to announce we are hiring for the season and beyond.
Some experience necessary but we’ll always value attitude way more than ability.

It’s pretty darn special work what we all get to do here every day in this big old farmhouse on Middletown road. We’re super grateful for the tremendous few months we’ve just completed. Our staff are total rock stars, our families are heroes, our kids are resilient and strong and our guests that we welcome into our home are (mostly) lovely. We’re taking a break until Memorial Day weekend when we’ll be back open for our 15th year!! In the meantime, we’ll be doing some traveling and refreshing and dreaming about all things green, all the fruits and veggies, all the freshness that is Summer in our fierce and beautiful little state. With many thanks to everybody that played a big and small role in this magical place that is our home.

A family affair today preparing, cooking and packaging hot meals for families in our mountain community. Food is love, food is comfort, food is sustenance and the overall common denominator for all of us. We are so happy to be able to share what we love and what we know.

And…we’re officially back for the 2025/26 Winter Season!
We’re so excited to be back and gearing up for what we know will be a wonderful season. December has already delivered beautiful snow, the mountains are rocking and as per usual Vermont continues to be a showstopper. We can’t wait to see you back inside the restaurant filling our dining rooms and bar with that festive convivial spirit. The fire will be toasty, the bar will be jamming and fresh off a nice rejuvenating break, the opening menus are 🤌😍🤌😍🤌

As a reminder all reservations can be booked on Resy - our books open at 10am —30 days out to the day you’d like to dine. See you soon friends 💓

Starting to feel quite wintery up here on the mountain! Grey days mixed with snow squalls, below freezing mornings, and lots of cozy snuggles by the fireplace.
I’ve recruited some friendly faces to let you know we’ll be back in action in just a couple of weeks! We’re reopening officially for the 2025/26 Winter season on Friday night December 12th! A reminder that Resy opens up 30 days in advance to the calendar day you’d like to dine- so head there to book your tables with us this Winter! **Also** LIVE on Resy are reservations for a very special NYE dinner... Don’t miss out.

Well friends, that’s a wrap on our Spring, Summer and Fall seasons here at SoLo. For the last 6 months we’ve worked really hard at our sweet old farmhouse on top of the hill. We planted and harvested so many vegetables, created, cooked and served countless beautiful dishes. Developed, tested and poured too many cocktails to count, pulled corks on a multitude of delicious wine bottles, laughed a lot, cried, hugged, learned and fully embraced and relied upon one another to simply do our work everyday. The trust, respect and camaraderie we have with one other is something we’re quite proud of and while challenging at times- we love it and cherish this family of ours. Thank you all for your love and support - we are so proud to do the work we do AND to live where we do is the biggest gift of all. We’re closing up shop for the month to recharge, travel a bit, and really transition into Winter mode. In the meantime, you might find us right here in our favorite room soaking up some vitamin D and even sneaking in an afternoon siesta! We’ll be back in December through the Winter and fingers and toes crossed it will be an epic one.

A beautiful garlic harvest this year! Just pulled up 380 heads of garlic from our gardens. Now these beauties will hang in the sun to dry and then cure inside for a couple weeks. This crop should last us well into the Winter months. Nothing better. We harvested 263 heads of garlic yesterday. Now these beauties hang in the sun for 3 days to dry and then cure inside for about 10 days. Nothing better.
