The Jersey Jazz and Blues Jam is open to all levels of musical skill and talent. Several of the members have played for years but have only recently decided to get out and perform again with others. It is an excellent venue to share your musical ideas. It is also a great way to grow your skills playing with others. So far the primary focus for this meetup group has been the After Work Jam held every other Tuesday night at The Robin's Nest in Linden, NJ. What makes the After Work Jam very successful is the mix of skill levels. We encourage folks to come out even if it is for the first time. This is a great place to get the rust off or to learn how to perform at a higher level with others. The music can be "bumpy". (If you want to play with the pros check out the Robin's Nest on Wednesday nights. Wednesday nights are without a doubt the best blues experience in the metro area.) The Tuesday After Work Jam is for folks who are not ready for Wednesday nights. If you are an advanced player come on out and share your skill and knowledge. The After Work Jam is a great venue where you can share and give back. If you are a rookie .... you will find experienced folks who will always answer your questions and help you to advance your skills.
