We had a long delay getting out of Dublin Ireland to fly into Lisbon Portugal. We arrived safely under a full moon and arrived at our Airbnb here in the beautiful neighborhood of the Baixa area of Lisbon. Kind neighborhood restaurant fed us at 11 PM..Or was it the 2 bottles of wine?? Can’t wait for daylight to capture the city’s beauty. Love being here with my sister Tami Thomas and my husband Peadar Dalton and Tom Banks. Blessed to be visiting a new country.

Peadar and I wish you a season full of gratitude and giving. A time to remind ourselves of the small miracles we sometimes forget to appreciate. We are blessed that our friends and families near and far are well. We are the lucky ones and pray for those less fortunate. A quote from Voltaire - "Appreciation is a wonderful thing. It makes what is excellent in others belong to us as well". Gratitude is never more important as during these times when everything appears to be dislocated. Be happy and make someone else happy. May your thanksgiving be the beginning of a joyous season.

As we all journey through the layers of this current COVID-19 situation we received this email and photo from a couple that Peadar married 3 years ago. It was a mini-intimate ceremony -just the 2 of them.
Hello Margarita and Peadar,
I hope that you are both well and happy under these bizarre circumstances. What a time for self-reflection, and for clarification of what matters most in one’s life!
Today is our three year wedding anniversary. It has been a wonderful three years, starting with our fabulous magical wedding officiated by you, Reverend. We have taken your words and our vows to heart faithfully. At the wedding you said that we have something special. You were so right, and we feel so blessed to have that special something. Our lives are great with each other. Tonight we will have champagne, take out from a favorite restaurant, and will watch the video of the ceremony on our big screen, with our three dogs. All the best to you both, Lisa and Patrick.

While we experience the unfriendly visitor COVID-19 - ironically it is allowing us to explore the deeper meaning of our vulnerability and common bond of humanity. Dear Friends – close and far. We are posting to register awareness of attempting to make sense of this fast spreading virus. We believe if each family or individual does his or her part we can make a difference in containing the spread. All of us in the wedding, hospitality and travel industries, contributing to the defining moments in your lives are here if you need support. We as vendors are doing the best to respond to your postponements of your wedding dates and are working around the clock to serve you while taking care of ourselves and our families.
Let us use our heads and hearts. Take a break from the news. Fear can be a virus in and of it's self. Spread warmth wherever you can. Talk to your neighbors. It’s a great time to make that long put off telephone call. Take a walk if that is an option stay healthy. And pray for everyone everywhere. This virus does not know its color or shape. May we be aware that life is precious and that we can trust that this time will pass and that we will learn from this challenging experience that we are truly connected as a human family.
