"Even tourists who come here say this is the neighborhood bar," Sour Hour takes place every Friday, with a potluck of snacks and plates served. Cathy Sanchez and Jamal Cook earned bragging rights for the bar with their first-place win in the coveted Battle of the Bartenders 2010 & 2011.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dear friend and longtime regular, Mario “Pulga” Gutierrez.
We have placed a donation box at the bar to help his family with funeral expenses during this incredibly difficult time. If you’re able to contribute, any amount is greatly appreciated. If not, we simply ask that you keep his family in your thoughts and prayers, or share this post to your feed.
