Killian’s Irish Red Ale brew day today. Went pretty well and ended up with an OG of 1.046. Hoping for an FG near 1.010.

Thinking of doing a Pumpkin Pie Cream Ale and possibly my Apple cider recipe from several years ago.

Been brewing along the way, Been really busy over the last couple of years, but still here and still kicking the home brews. Hemli's is moving west, WAY West! Last brew made in Virginia was a Blue Moon Clone. Came out a bit extra for the final, 7.1% ABV! WOW!

Apple cider has been bottled and the Oktoberfest is made and lagering as we speak. We have a new coke cooler too! It looks pretty nice. The pumkin beer is still fermenting and the Irish Red is next on the list. Anyone have any suggestions for the next brew? Don't forget you can also follow us and communicate with us via the website.

Our seasonal brews have begun and we are ready to bottle the apple cider in the next few days. We also just finished brewing our pumpkin beer and its fermenting away. The Octoberfest Lager is next on the list to be made by the end of the week! Looking forward to what you guys think of them.

The first of the hops have been harvested. We harvested a little over half of our Mt. Hood hops today. They are drying and will be packaged away to be used in further brews once they are all done.

We did the Cider for Cacapon last week and its fermenting away. Tomorrow is the Pumpkin beer and making the starter for the Octoberfest lager.

Just a quick update, the brewing process has been slow this summer with alot of things going on, but we are starting to ramp up production for several purposes. Cacapon brews will be starting up. We will be doing 3 beers for Cacapon. Then we are also going to be doing our first Lager. It is a very different process than Ales. If you're interested, let me know and I'll explain it a bit more. We are also increasing our keg capacity from 2 to 4 kegs and will be doing some additional brews in the near future.

Just an fyi, we are still here and brewing and kegging away. Though I'm not sure as to whether or not anyone is actually following along with us, lol. But rest assured, we haven't given up or stopped brewing/kegging and growing hops. If you have questions or comments or want to taste some or make something specific, just drop us a line!
