Meet Chef Rulis Gonzalez of Starlite Gastropub, one of the featured chefs bringing his talent to Together with the Mission.
A five-time Best Chef winner, Rulis brings more than 25 years of business and hospitality experience to his work. After a career in finance, he followed his passion for food, creating bold, globally inspired cuisine and building restaurant concepts. Featured on Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and Alex vs. America, he now serves as Executive Chef and Partner at Starlite Gastropub.
Join Chef Rulis and our local chef lineup for an evening celebrating food, heritage, and community in support of the restoration of historic Socorro Mission – La Purísima.

Che Fico in San Francisco. Today, he serves as Executive Chef at
DoubleTree by Hilton El Paso Downtown and Ristorante Casanova, bringing those experiences back to the Borderland.
