MEET COOPER + WH***EY | If you have any background knowledge of dog breeds and their personalities, it may not entirely shock you to hear that Cooper (a red golden retriever) and Wh***ey (a blue heeler) are just a touch different from one another. While one retrieves and wishes to retrieve again, the other takes objects and just…keeps them. When one peacefully watches the cows on his farm, the other is chomping at the bit to go and organize those same cows. From what we can tell, there is one subject on which both boys are in perfect agreement: their humans should never be left unattended. In fact, Cooper regularly checks to make sure his people are still breathing by putting his nose very, very close to them. After confirming signs of life, he knows he is well within his rights to request a game of fetch since, after all, he has spotted perfectly good arms attached right to them. Wh***ey does things a bit differently. While surely a sweet and cuddly boy, he also feels a deep responsibility to herd his humans, using some gentle air nipping to keep them moving in the right direction. His people do not mind this, as they chose him on purpose (with full knowledge of what having a working dog would mean) and have been saved more than once by his alerts about cows or donkeys attempting a nighttime escape, approaching delivery trucks, or the existence of cats. All in a day’s work for Wh***ey. When they aren’t keeping their people in line, both pups also agree that chewing on sticks is an excellent way to pass the time. As you may have assumed, Wh***ey prefers the ones Cooper has already retrieved. After some good crunching, Cooper will take a dip in whatever body of water is nearest, while Wh***ey runs the perimeter in case there is anything he missed. There very rarely is, but one can never be too careful.

We developed “Yin + Yang” to feel grounded and a touch disciplined, but with a bit of easygoing sweetness. We hope it leaves you feeling like you just had an especially good game of fetch or herded some cattle into order - whichever seems more like your kind of thing.
