It’s going to be another great summer at Center Hill Lake 💛
When the lake first opened, officials called it a “fisherman’s paradise” and more than 1,000 fishermen were expected on opening day.
Decades later, people are still making memories on these waters.
Cheers to Summer 2026 😎🌊☀️

Center Hill Lake has long inspired artists drawn to the natural beauty of this region — and the Appalachian Center for Craft is one of the best places to experience that creativity firsthand.

Perched above the lake, this unique destination offers something completely different from a typical day on the lake. Inside the gallery, guests can explore rotating exhibits alongside handcrafted pottery, glasswork, jewelry, wood pieces, fiber art, and other one-of-a-kind works created by talented regional and national artists.
Many of the pieces are available for purchase, making it the perfect stop for meaningful gifts, souvenirs, or distinctive home décor that reflects the spirit of the area.

Whether you’re visiting for a weekend getaway or you live nearby, the Appalachian Center for Craft is a reminder that the beauty of this area extends far beyond the water itself.
