If you missed last night's wine dinner, it was incredible. We featured fresh heirloom tomatoes and some tasty herbs from our garden, with delicious tuna and salmon dishes. We even served homemade tomato ice cream with candied pecans and candied basil and Bloody Mary gelato.Everything was paired with a stellar wine selection and topped off with excellent company and atmosphere. Open Mic night is tonight:). Doors will open at 5:30. Jeff will have the sign-up sheet.

For dinner, I’ll be cooking venison and my pork meatballs over mashed potatoes and gravy or lasagna or artichoke chicken. All three served with salad and garlic bread and all three will be the same price $16 each.
I will also creamy jalapeño dip, artichoke dip and apple and cinnamon scones on ice cream for dessert.

We had so much fun last night! Thank you to everyone that came to our first Open Mic in quite some time! The support was huge and it definitely humbled me. I intend to continue to try to do this on the first Thursday and third Thursday for a while and then if it can be done, I’ll go back to every Thursday. Thank you, Jeff Haney for being my friend and for running the Open Mic. You did such an amazing job and it was so nice to have Barnie there and watch him play with other musicians!!! Thank you susie and Sydney 😘😘😘 for a great job as usual😘😘😘😘Thank you, Mike salvo, house of dogs, patron, bureaux bridges, midnight playlist, Brandon wayne, sally MacAdoo, jamie steinhauser, babe Valentine, Orion Robinson, ace ahlbrendt, Jansen landers, galaxy, and all the musicians that came. Excited to have open mic this Thursday and super excited to have Sydney back working with me :) If you're coming try and shoot me a text or message just so I can make sure I prepare enough food. I'm going to make a lasagna and serve it like I always have with salad and garlic bread and I'm going to serve Greek pita pockets with or without chicken. These are yummy! and have lots of goodies from my garden in them!

Open Mic night is back! We will start slow and do open mic with Jeff Haney the first and third thursday of the month starting with May 21st!!!!
I will post what I'll be fixing for dinner soon and the doors will open at 5:30 with sign ups to start at 6:30.

Super excited to talk about what's going on at the Fat Cat!

First, we had a wonderful celebration of life here and birthday celebration on Saturday for Warren Davis Lewis, husband of Adena Lewis. She said he would want a party and that is just what they put on. She and her incredible children put on a crawfish party with lots of food and we had good music and just a wonderful time! I was just so blessed to be able to help make memories for them.

Please don't forget that we are available for parties, celebrations, weddings etc. I'll also open for a party of 10 or so if you want to do a nice private dinner or lunch and I think you’ll be surprised at how affordable it is. Just call me, Lori @281-236-8007

I'm starting to cook for the Wine dinner this weekend! I have some spots left so please call me for reservations.

Roasted Pork Belly from my farm served with Valckenberg Pinot Blanc
(Valckenberg is one of the oldest wineries in Germany and have been making wine since 1786. Their wines are amazing and a great representation of fine German Wines)
Burrata Salad with Pinot Noir from the Fableist out of Santa Barbara County.
( This wine delivers an alluring bouquet of ripe red fruits, particularly strawberry and cherry, intertwined with delicate floral notes of rose petals and violets. Subtle hints of earthy mushroom and a touch of spice add intrigue. Perfect with soft cheeses)
Roasted Pork Prime Rib served with Black Eyed Peas (with Ham from my farm) and Creamed Spinach from my farm. Served with Cune Rioja Crianza.
(Cune is a fifth generation winery and this wine aged for a minimum of a year in Oak casks and five years in the bottle making it smooth and elegant with a dry finish)
Creamy Lemon Creme Brulé served with Ca'Bolani Prosecco
(This is a true Italian DOC Prosecco with enticing scents of Lemon, green apple and fresh flowers. White and persistent mousse with a very fine perlage. Pleasantly fruity on the nose with good aromatic intensity and a hint of wisteria blossom and rennet apple.
