🥓🥓🥓🥓🥓
Bacon Fest 2024 is just one sleep away! So many great recipes to try out this year. Let's go over some quick Bacon Fest Q and A:
1. What is Bacon Fest and what does it support?
Bacon Fest is an annual fundraiser put on by the Sioux Falls Roller Dollz. This fundraiser goes to support our roller derby team including our travel expenses, practice space, equipment and home games. The Sioux Falls Roller Dollz are a non-profit organization and we support many other local non-profits in our community through our games and other fundraising events.
2. What can we expect at Bacon Fest?
The biggest draw to bacon fest is the bacon recipe contest. When you arrive at Remedy at 611, you can purchase a pork passport for $10 and try all of the recipes entered in the contest. This is a first come, first serve deal. In order to ensure that everyone that purchases a pork passport will be able to try all the recipes, we only have a set number of pork passports that we sell. This year, it's 200. You will also receive three tickets to vote for your favorite recipes. Also very popular is our bacon eating contest. Participants in the contest will try to be the first to devour a pound of bacon! It's quite the spectacle! You can also expect an oinking contest for children and adults, children's games and face painting, a silent auction, bacon skewers to go with your favorite Remedy beer, and a 50/50 raffle.
3. What is the timeline of events?
