Hello everyone! We have an update!

After having our septic permit in for nearly a year and having to jump through countless hoops, we have finally received approval to move forward on that part of our project. After discussing with our septic person, it looks like that should be installed at some point this winter.

We are working with our contractor on new building plans, as our original set was denied by the county, and we should have a timeline on that pretty soon.

At this point, it is our tentative plan to be open for business in May 2026, barring any more major issues.

Dear Valued Customers and Friends,

It is with heavy hearts that we inform you of the unfortunate incident that occurred last night. Silver Falls Country Store experienced a fire, resulting in significant damage to our beloved establishment.

First and foremost, we want to express our gratitude to the firefighters and emergency responders who bravely worked to contain the fire and ensure the safety of our community.

While this is undoubtedly a challenging time for us, please know that the safety of our customers, employees, and community remains our top priority. We are relieved to report that there were no injuries.

We are currently assessing the extent of the damage and working closely with authorities to determine the next steps. We will keep you updated as we navigate through this process.

To our loyal customers and friends, we want to express our sincere appreciation for your support and understanding during this difficult time. Your kindness and encouragement mean the world to us, and we are truly grateful for your continued support.

As we move forward, we are committed to rebuilding and restoring Silver Falls Country Store to once again serve as a gathering place for our community. Together, we will overcome this challenge and emerge stronger than ever before.

We have a new stock of handmade items from crafter Debby Wilson!!
She spins and dyes fiber from her own animals, and also upcycles fiber from other products. Her work is beautiful, and she's made handwritten tags with the details on each item available.

We are running an Elk Crossing Sign Fundraiser until we are able to replace our community's stolen signs.

Attached is our fundraising special and our monetary goal (which may be adjusted slightly when we find the correct mounting hardware).

For every 2 topping pizza we sell, we will drop a $5 bill in the Elk Jar. We also have 2 topping pizza vouchers available for sale at the same special price and with the same donation built in, that way you can stock up on this deal for future pizzas.

There is also a donation jar on at the register, if you just want to make a donation, you can do that too.

Please share this post so that we can get these signs ordered and put back up ASAP.

It is with much sadness that I report that the Elk Crossing signs that our community saved up for, and our friends Dan and Deanna put up on their property and maintained on the community's behalf, have been STOLEN.
If you have them or have any information on their whereabouts, please do the right thing and contact the store, or drop them off out front. There will be no questions asked and no charges filed. We need them back to help protect our resident elk herd.
In the meantime, we will resume fundraising to replace them.

Silver Falls Country Store's February Art Contest

We are getting our local Geocache back up and running, and are hoping to kick it off with some Bigfoot fan-made Travel Bugs!

We have wooden keychains available at the store at no cost (only one per artist please), or you are welcome to create one using materials of your choice (it just has to be something small and sturdy with a hole in it for attaching the trackable code tag).

The Theme is Bigfoot Love.

Rules:

Original artwork only, and one submission per artist.

PG rated

Please initial your work.

Submissions need to be dropped off at the store, on or before Feb 29.

We will announce a winner within a few days of the deadline.

Winning Travel Bugs will be sent into the Geocaching world. Winners will be supplied with the tracking code so they can always see updates!

Child and Adult categories will be voted on separately.

Prizes:

1st place: Choice of $20 store tab or Bigfoot memorabilia item of your choice

2nd place: Beverage or Ice Cream of your choice
