A lot of people are asking, how I ended up opening a restaurant, the truth is, it wasn't a childhood dream.
I've spent most of my adult life working in restaurants. I started as a hostess and worked my way through just about every front-of-house position you can think of—server, bartender, bar manager, head bartender, and manager. Over the last 15+ years I've had the opportunity to work for some amazing restaurants and learn from some incredible people.
Somewhere along the way, I realized this was something I wanted to do for myself.
Owning a restaurant was always something I talked about, but it never seemed like the opportunity was there. Then one day, everything just started falling into place. The right people came into my life, the right doors opened, and what once felt impossible suddenly felt possible.
For years, I helped build other people's dreams. Now, with a lot of hard work, support, and blessings, I finally have the opportunity to help build one of my own.
As a mother of 5, life has taught me how to work hard, adapt, and keep moving forward even when things aren't easy. There has been plenty of times when I wondered if owning a business was something I'd ever actually get the chance to do. That's part of what makes this journey so special to me.
Thankfully, I've been blessed with incredible support, guidance, and people who believe in me.
I especially want to thank Danny Lawler for giving us this opportunity and for believing in us from the very beginning. Opportunities like this don't come around every day, and I'm incredibly grateful to be a part of something so special.
I also want to thank the people who believed in me long before this became a reality. The people who encouraged me, supported me, invested in this dream, and helped me find the confidence to take this leap. You know who you are, and I am more grateful than words can express.
What excites me most isn't just opening a restaurant—it's becoming part of a new community and creating a place where families can gather, celebrate, and make memories together.
When you walk through the doors of Dos Amigos Cantina & Grill, We want you to feel like you've escaped for a little while. Whether it's breakfast with family, brunch with friends, date night, or margaritas on the patio, I want it to feel like a little vacation close to home.
We're still early in the process, but every day it becomes a little more real.
Thank you to everyone who has followed, shared, commented, and encouraged us so far. Your support means more than you know, and I can't wait to welcome you through our doors.
Here are a few memories from my journey in the restaurant industry over the years.
