November and December were very busy months for the Littleton-Westford #244 Emblem Club.
We put together 30 ditty bags of personal items for Abby’s House in Worcester.
This facility assists people starting over after homelessness and/or rehab/hospitalization.
As part of our commitment to Literacy, we donated 6 copies of the book “Survivor Tree” to area libraries.
Littleton, Westford, Ayer, Dracut, Shirley and Groton all received this book written about a tree that survived the 9/11 disaster and has now been returned to the Memorial Garden at the 9/11 site. Also in our literacy project, we donate reams of paper to area schools, libraries, the Council of Aging and also to Abby’s house.
From our charitable fund, we donated money to the Loaves and Fishes food pantry.
We also donated gifts for the Shop for your Parents and Shop for your kids programs.
We have a Buttons for Babes project that raises money making bracelets with donated buttons. We use this money for children in need.
This Christmas we donated $200 in gift Cards to Abby’s house in Worcester as well as buying gifts and gift cards for a family in Ayer and in Littleton.
