Over the last six months we have been working closely with our architect and design team on the Old Lee School. There is so much that goes into taking an old school that has been vacant for years and bringing it back to life. We have been taking our time and not rushing anything to make sure we do everything right. Our goal is to hopefully be moved over to the school house by next summer. Below is a picture of the blueprints of just the main level of the school house. In the next few months we will start posting pictures of what you will expect to see once the school house is complete.

This week has been another great week working with our design team at the old Lee School House. This week we have finalized the inside of the restaurant and taproom. We will post pictures and videos of the progress each week but we are keeping most everything under wraps until our press conference in May. Here is a picture of Natalie looking out what will be our outside beer garden and stage area. Along the windows we will have seating to look outside and listen to live music while sitting inside the taproom. We still have a lot of work ahead of us before we start construction. It’s hard not to rush everything but we are taking our time to make sure we do everything right. This week was another productive week at the schoolhouse. Thursday we walked the building with our architect and general contractor. We reviewed the drawings from our design team to make sure everything matches up with the layout. This picture is the middle floor of the schoolhouse. This is a picture of the main hallway looking towards the stairs. The middle floor will will be our taproom and restaurant. We will be sharing more in the coming weeks once we get everything finalized of what the inside will look like. We are so excited about converting the Old Lee School and love when we get asked how it’s coming along. We created this page so you can follow along with us on this journey. We are still a couple of months away from finalizing this whole project. We are taking our time and not rushing anything to make sure we do everything right. The last couple of weeks have been fun working with our architect and our design team on the direction for our taproom. Next step is the ballroom. This picture was taken on the top floor looking out towards downtown Sherman. The top floor is what made us fall in love with the schoolhouse. The brick walls, the wood floors, and the 360 degree views of our city will make this the perfect place to host any event. We are just a little behind schedule but moving along nicely with the Old Lee School. This week we had soil samples for the geo tech report and worked with both our architect and designer on finalizing the drawing for inside the schoolhouse and our new production facility. Who knew there is so much work to convert a old school into a brewery.

This page is dedicated for those that would like to follow our progress of turning the Old Lee School into our new brewery. We are about a month away from having our architectural drawings complete for both our new brewery and the schoolhouse. We hope to start construction this Summer and be open by Summer of 2019. Once we get everything finalized we will start posting weekly updates so that you can follow the progress with us.
