Friends, we share with deepest sadness that our beloved Cliff unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, March 28th. Those who knew Cliff knew he was a dedicated husband, father, son, and so much more. He gave praise and gratitude freely, he did everything with great passion, he was distinguished yet welcoming to all. We will remember the unforgettable mark he left on the world, and honor his memory every day by capturing and appreciating life’s moments, both big and small.

To those who wish to join to honor the life of Cliff Pereira and his legacy, a wake will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 (by coincidence, April Fools’ Day, which is appropriate given Cliff’s love of laughter) from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. This will be followed by a mass and funeral at 3:00 p.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 220 Shelton Rd., Trumbull. Please spread the word to those who you know would like to attend.

Il Palio will be closed entirely on Wednesday in observance of his service.

Thank you always to our customers at Il Palio. Cliff spoke of you so fondly, and he and Margherita’s life’s work at Il Palio was a dream come true every day.
