Forty years is a long time. Long enough to forget what you started. !K7 Records haven’t.

Modeselektor present a listening event for their new DJ-Kicks mix and play an additional secret version of the mix. Two versions, one after the other, only to be heard on this evening.

DJ-Kicks alumni, Cinthie joins to discuss their approach to crafting an edition of DJ-Kicks - What does it take? Questions, answers, silence.

Then the music returns — pieces from the DJ-Kicks archive, classic compilations and archived video.

You sit there. You listen. You Dance. Let the memories of all of those, kick drums, conversations and sunrises melt away.

We all listen together.

This one’s for you so reserve your spot for free through the link below:

“Fight for the things that you care about, but do it in a way that will lead others to join you," Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said in response to a question regarding the advice she would give to young women during a talk at Radcliffe in 2015.

On this day in 1993, Ruth Bader Ginsburg was sworn in as the second female justice on the U.S. Supreme Court. Whether you first encountered her name in discussions of major court decisions or on websites proclaiming her Notorious RBG, there's no doubting Justice Ginsburg's vast influence on today's world as a lifelong champion for women's rights. While Justice Ginsburg died in 2020 at the age of 87, her legacy lives on -- both in the law and in the minds and hearts of Mighty Girls and women who follow in her footsteps.

To introduce kids to the trailblazing Justice Ginsburg, we recommend the board book "I Look Up To... Ruth Bader Ginsburg" for ages 2 to 4 (https://www.amightygirl.com/i-look-up-to-ruth-bader-ginsburg), the picture book "My Little Golden Book About Ruth Bader Ginsburg" for ages 4 to 8 (https://www.amightygirl.com/my-little-golden-book-rbg), and the chapter book "You Should Meet: Ruth Bader Ginsburg" for ages 6 to 8 (https://www.amightygirl.com/you-should-meet-rbg)

For older kids, we recommend the illustrated biography "Who Is Ruth Bader Ginsburg?" for ages 8 to 12 (https://www.amightygirl.com/who-is-ruth-bader-ginsburg), the graphic novel for ages 9 and up "Becoming RBG" (https://www.amightygirl.com/becoming-rbg), and "Dissenter on the Bench: Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s Life and Work" for ages 13 and up (https://www.amightygirl.com/dissenter-on-the-bench)

For adult readers inspired by Justice Ginsburg, we highly recommend her powerful memoir "My Own Words" (https://www.amightygirl.com/my-own-words-rbg) and the excellent biography "Notorious RBG: The Life and Times of Ruth Bader Ginsburg" (https://www.amightygirl.com/notorious-rbg)

Prior to her death, Ginsburg collaborated with journalist and friend Nadine Epstein to create an empowering collection that tells the stories of 33 extraordinary Jewish women "RBG's Brave & Brilliant Women" for ages 10 and up at https://www.amightygirl.com/rbg-brave-brilliant-women
