As a graduate of Berklee College of Music with a double major in fiddle performance and music therapy, Emily Haviland studied everything from American Roots and its rocky history to how music can alter brain chemistry. Throughout her career, Emily has shared the stage with some of the greats, like Darol Anger, the late Emy Phelps, Bruce Molsky, Aoife O’Donovan, Margot Price, Twisted Pine and Cold Chocolate, and has been showcased on records released by Alisa Amador and Kaiti Jones, among others. Emily released her debut solo album, “Not Who You Think”, in February 2024, showcasing her vast musical repertoire—modern folk music with roots in jazz and americana. World-renowned fiddler Darol Anger aptly describes her as the "Realest Deal in a long time," praising her genuine voice, profound reflections, and songs that boldly articulate the unspoken truths we all harbor. “Real voice, real thoughts, real songs that say - with pungent power - what everyone’s really thinking. Glad to welcome her work into the world."
