We would like to welcome and congratulate the opening of the new cafe on the square! They have some enormous shoes to fill but we know they can do it! With that being said, we have received multiple messages about their hours and reservations so we would like to say that we have nothing to do with the new cafe. Best of luck cafe on the square!

To our amazing community —

It’s incredibly difficult to share that we won’t be opening the restaurant we’ve worked so hard to bring to life, Sixth Street Cafe. We poured everything into this dream — our time, energy, and hearts — and we got so close. But in the end, we realized we had taken on more than we could sustain. As painful as it is to step back now, we know it’s the right decision for our team and our well-being.

What makes this even harder is that, during the course of construction, we lost our beloved friend, Chelsey, to illness. Chelsey was the heart and soul of this project — her vision, creativity, and warmth were woven into every part of what we were building. Her absence left a void that no amount of effort could ever fill. Walking away from this dream is incredibly painful, but even more so knowing she isn’t here with us. We’re deeply sorry to those we’ve let down, but we are endlessly grateful for your support and encouragement throughout this journey. Thank you for believing in us, and in Chelsey.

It’s been so long since we’ve seen everyone! We’re almost getting started on our last project before we can get our final inspections done and get our restaurant open! We thought we’d show you some mouth watering photos of previous specials we’ve done, in case you forgot 😉 You’re damn right we’re doing this big and we’re doing it for Chelsey. ❤️❤️❤️

As of right now, Chelsey’s honor walk will take place tomorrow (Friday, March 28th) at 10am. If you would like to be a part of this, please arrive at Bryan West by 9:30 and come to the second floor waiting room.

If you follow this page, you probably know one of our owners, Chelsey Kosmicki. Chelsey is not only known to the patrons of our cafe, but the whole community. Chelsey is an amazing person with the biggest heart! She would do anything for the people she loved. She has the most beautiful soul and is the most loyal friend. She excelled at everything she did and put her heart and soul into the cafe. Unfortunately, Chelsey has had some medical complications and is in the hospital. Chelsey will most likely pass away in the next couple days. They plan to take her off the ventilator and as her last selfless act she will donate what organs and tissue she can. If you would like to participate in Chelsey’s honor walk, we will post details when they become available. Later, we will post service details. Thank you all for your continued support. Her customers meant the world to her!
