We have another busy weekend upon us. We’ll try to give you all of the details quickly. Tonight we get to welcome another relatively new musician back to the KBC stage for some great live music. Join us tonight as J. Stephens brings the live tunes from 6:30-8:30PM. If you missed his first show you definitely don’t want to miss out on seeing him this time around.

Tomorrow is Jeepfest hosted by the City of Seneca just across the street from us. Jeepfest runs tomorrow from 12-4PM and we will be open normal hours from 11AM-9PM. Take a quick walk over to KBC for all of your food and beverage needs. We’ll also have College Football on all of the screens all day if you need to catch up on some scores.

Stick around after Jeepfest for live music at a special time. Billy Bauer will be hitting the sage from 5:30-7:30PM leading up to the kickoff of Clemson’s first home game of the season. After the live music you can also stick around for the first half of the Clemson game.

We are also starting to sell our brand new Teku Oktoberfest Mugs starting today. We were fortunate enough to get some of these beauties before they sold out from the manufacturer. Since we will be serving out of plastic cups on our Oktoberfest day (September 26th) you can go ahead and grab yours now and bring it along on the 26th to pour your b**r in your glass, or keep it safe at home, if you prefer. We didn’t get a ton, so we can’t guarantee they will still be around by September 26th.

The party must go on! We got word this morning that Matt Lund is sick and not able to make it this evening for the Jimmy Buffett tribute. We hope he feels better soon! In the meantime, Billy Bauer and Chad Rawlings have graciously stepped up to save the day and we cannot thank them enough! Chad and Billy will be putting together a fun set this evening that will incorporate Jimmy Buffett and other beach music as originally planned. Join us for an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime show tonight!

Also, today is the First Friday of the month which means Fish & Chips. We ordered ALL of the fresh cod our vendor had this month in hopes that it will last longer than last month, but there is no guarantee. The earlier you can get here to order the fish & chips, the better your chances are of getting some before it sells out. Even if it does sell out, we can promise you won’t be disappointed with anything else on our amazing menu. Check out our awesome September Specials if you haven’t yet!

Tomorrow is Clemson’s first football game of the season with kickoff at 7:30PM. Doug McDonald will be in house to bring some amazing live music at a special time tomorrow. Music will be from 5-7PM on Saturday to lead up to the Clemson kickoff. Stop out for an amazing afternoon of music, food and drinks. Then stick around for some college football in the evening!

Sunday we will be open normal hours (12-8PM) for a more casual day at KBC. Monday, Labor Day, we will be open extended hours (12-9PM). Stop out on your day off for a day of fun. Dave will also be hosting Dolly Parton “9-5” Trivia on Monday starting at 6:30PM.

As we head into the weekend we wanted to let everyone know My Blood Runs Orange is officially back on tap! We ran out of it last weekend, but already had more fermenting, and knew we had to get it back on tap before Clemson’s first game of the season. Whether you are planning to head south for the game, host a tailgate party at home, or watch the game at KBC you won’t be without your favorite b**r by your side!

Today we are also putting a brand new Seltzer on tap—High Seas. This seltzer was brewed with Blackberries and Mango and turned out to be the best “fruit punch” flavor we could have hoped for. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do and it will be around for tomorrow’s Jimmy Buffet night here at KBC.

We also want to take a moment to give a HUGE shoutout to one of our loyal customers who is also a very talented woodworker, Dwight. Dwight made some amazing new standing tables from a white oak tree that fell in his yard during Hurricane Helene 2 years ago. He gave the tree a new life as these beautiful tables with our KBC logo inlayed in them. Gone are the days of our rickety “OG” tables that we built in haste when we had to find more room for people to set their b**rs. They served their purpose, but we are thrilled to have some new, beautiful, and quality crafted tables from such a good person! Thank you again, Dwight!

Lots going on this week, so please read!

Last week was so much fun with the Dolly Parton themed Music Bingo that Dave decided to do some of it again. Tonight won’t be completely Dolly-themed, but she will be sprinkled in throughout the night. Dave is also going to put together a very special Dolly Parton themed Trivia for everyone on this Monday, Labor Day.
◇
Why are we doing more Dolly nights? When our son was younger, his Grandparents signed him up for the Imagination Library, one of Dolly’s charities. He started questioning who was sending free books, so we started telling him it was “Aunt Dolly” since her picture was on the back of the books. Fast forward a few years to a time we were driving through Pigeon Forge and our son was quite confused about why “Aunt Dolly” was on every billboard and asked if we were going to her house. 🤪😂 We still think that is where is love for reading started, though. With that in mind Dave will be taking donations both of these nights for the Imagination Library. KBC will match all of those donations (up to $1,000…just in case anyone out there gets crazy generous) to help Dolly’s legacy live on.

Friday night is our first ever Jimmy Buffet night! Matt Lund will be bringing the “Matt’s Dead Pirate Tales” theme on Friday from 6:30-8:30PM. There will be plenty of Jimmy Buffet songs mixed in with other beach favorites. There will also be Pina Colada and Margarita w**e slushies available, a brand new seltzer and themed kitchen specials also.

Friday is also “First Friday Fish & Chips.” We sold out really quickly last month, so we ordered even more fresh cod this month. We still expect to sell out, so it might be best to join us for lunch or early in the afternoon if you want to get some. Once it is gone, it’s gone.

September is officially here and that means brand new specials from the KBC kitchen starting today. September’s new specials are:

August seemed to fly by, so don’t sleep on these new specials. September will be gone before you know it! Make sure you grab one as soon as you can.

This past weekend we also put on two new b**rs for your enjoyment. First up is Lake Fog Version 28. This version was brewed with Galaxy, Krush and Dolcita hops. This is our first time using Dolcita and we don’t think it will be our last. Lots of notes of citrus, coconut and stone fruit stand out in this version. We still have one keg of Lake Fog Version 27 on tap, so it’s one of the rare times you can try both versions back-to-back to see how the hops change the flavor profile each time.

We also put Riot back on tap! Riot is a Festbier that we brew from time-to-time, but with Oktoberfest right around the corner we thought it would be a good time to bring it back. Keep an eye out for this year’s new Oktoberfest mug making its debut soon. We got a really fancy one this year that we think everyone is going to love!

Just when we didn’t think we could have more fun this week, we made it to the weekend and really get to turn it up! This evening there is a lot going on downtown and at KBC. The City of Seneca is hosting Friday night Fever tonight in the new Daniel W. Alexander Amphitheater featuring The Travolta Band. Music starts at 6:00PM with Hissy & The Guys and Travolta taking the stage at 8:00PM. Grab some food and drinks before, during or after your time at the show or take some food and beverages to-go to enjoy at the show.

If you’re looking for something a little more low key we are hosting the Done Gone Boys tonight at 6:30PM. We got to hear the Done Gone Boys in Long Creek during our Employee Party and knew we had to have them at KBC. Stop out tonight for some old-time bluegrass fun and give Done Gone Boys a nice welcome to KBC for the first time. Saturday night is a fan favorite musician returning to the KBC stage—Randall Martin. You might recognize Randall from The Whitewater Heathens and other local bands. We absolutely love it when he comes around as a solo artist too. Stop out Saturday for another great performance. Music both nights is 6:30-8:30PM.

Along with everything else that was going on this week we were also able to sneak on a brand new batch of Lakecation and it’s tasting absolutely amazing. Grab one of those or any of our other 11 b**rs on tap to quench your thirst. We’re on the last keg of several b**rs this weekend, so keep an eye out for some new brews to hit the taps next week.

Meet Apollo 18 - affectionately known around here as the Astronaut Tiger. Apollo 18 is artwork by the very talented artist ＭＩＫＥ ＫＯＵＢＯＵ . Apollo adds quite a bit of charm to our taproom at KBC, and is often spotted in our social media. After some apprehension on our part, we reached out to Mike about putting Apollo 18 on merchandise, and he enthusiastically said yes!

We’ve got a fresh run of tees in with Apollo, now featuring the Blue Ridge Mountains in the background and the phases of a solar eclipse above. The solar eclipse is a pretty special moment for us since Alex and Allison told their families the plans to move home and open Keowee Brewing Company while they were all gathered in Seneca for the week of the 2017 Solar Eclipse over Lake Keowee. Stop in to grab one of these new shirts while we have your size in stock. If you are as much of a fan of Mike’s work as we are make sure you check out his social media pages and stores to get some of his artwork delivered to you. We’re going to have some more of it displayed around KBC soon!

Join us tonight for a special tribute to country music legend Dolly Parton. Described in many ways, such as the queen of pop country, a bona fide rockstar, and one of the greatest love song writers of all time, as well as a “Dumb Blonde” and a “Backwoods Barbie,” in her own words. Dolly certainly wore a “Coat of Many Colors,” to inspire generations of fans and country artists and always remained humble and true to herself. She worked endlessly, some would say “9 to 5,” to produce the most number one hits by a woman on the country billboard charts.

Come join this celebration of life as we enjoy the numerous hits by one of country music’s greatest sensations, Dolly Parton. While you’re here, try our Sun-Lite Light L***r and brand new Oktoberfest which pair nicely with our Southern Fried Green Tomato Double Smashburger and our Western-style Ranch Hand, big enough for the toughest of cowboys. Who’s ready for some cooler and drier weather?!!🙋‍♂️🙋‍♀️ That’s exactly what it looks like is on the schedule this weekend after we make it through this evening and we can’t wait! Live music, great food and amazing b**rs all hit differently when hanging out in our backyard.

Speaking of b**r, we’ve neglected our duty to talk about b**r at KBC lately. Please forgive us. We have just been so excited about what our kitchen has been doing lately that we haven’t mentioned what made us so great to begin with quite as often, but the b**r remains great. This week we put Heat Waves back on tap. Heat Waves is our Pale Ale that we have only done a couple of times before. Slightly fruity, slightly piney and totally crushable for these warm days we have been having!

Yesterday we also put this year’s release of Oktoberfest on tap! This is a b**r that everyone waits all year for us to bring back and now is your chance. Why so early you might ask? We try to keep things fairly traditional around here and the traditional Oktoberfest is a celebration leading up to October that starts in September and runs until the beginning of October.

That’s why our Octoberfest celebration at KBC will be on September 26th (mark your calendars if you haven’t already). We just thought we would get the party started a little early with the release of the b**r and see how long we can keep it going! Don’t worry, we shouldn’t run out of b**r by September 26th. We already have more batches of Oktoberfest waiting their turn to be ready and released.

This weekend we have two amazing artists lined up for live music. Friday night we have live music from Dillon Brown and Saturday night we have Heath Rankin hitting the stage for some live tunes. Music is from 6:30-8:30PM both evenings.
